Roberta F. Mitchell

Roberta F. Mitchell, 87, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Triumph Hospital in Baytown. She was born December 31, 1919, in Santa Ana, Texas to her late Parents: Ganie Huggins and Maud Smith Huggins. She moved to Baytown at a very early age, Graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1937 and lived in Baytown most of her life. Roberta was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Baytown and formerly worked at both S. H. Kress and Woolco.

She is survived by: Sons: Billy Mitchell and his wife Sue of Baytown and Ganie Mitchell and his wife Nancy of Baytown; Grandchildren: Karl Mitchell and his wife Donna of Beach City, Steffanie Massengale and her husband Bobby of Baytown, Staci Thompson and her husband Brent of Houston, Melissa Daugherty and her husband Bobby of Anahuac and Kyle Mitchell and his wife Yvette of Spring; Sisters: Gladys Maxey of Tatum and Hazel Matthews of Baytown. She was preceded in death by: Husband: Emmett E. Mitchell; Son: Emmett Lynn Mitchell and Parents: Ganie Huggins and Maud Smith Huggins.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Baytown. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 13, 2007 at the Navarre Funeral Home with Dr. David Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.

Pallbearers will be: Karl Mitchell, Kyle Mitchell, Keith Durst, Larry Huggins, Max Brand and Bobby Daugherty. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ralph Durst, Bobby Massengale, Brent Thompson and Henry Stephenson.

Services are under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Baytown.
