Hi dad! Well, we went to visit you on 6-18-2025, I still can't believe you have been gone 13 years. 13!!!! I still feel like it was yesterday when I saw you in your room, sitting on your recliner. To the family of Pastor Rodrigo Renteria, so sorry for your loss.  I feel like I missed meeting a Great Man of God!  His Life's Teachings and Legacy continues in each of his family members.  I have gotten to know him and lot's of his teachings through his precious daughter, Eunnie :)  She speaks of her Dad regularly with such loving memories of different aspects of his life and I am actually learning some of Mr. Renteria's teachings from Eunnie. Hi dad! It's 2020! Can you believe it? I always think about you and miss you so much! Today a man came to our office and he reminded me of you so much! He had a blue cap, a belt with his cell phone on it, and when he signed his paperwork, his hands look like yours. I couldn't help but walk away and cry, wishing you were here. I love you dad! I continue to take care of mom and try to make her as happy as I can. Will forever hold you in my heart! <3

Hi dad, it's been a while since I've been on here. I always think of you and wish you were still here. It's November 2015 and it still feels like it was yesterday you went away. As I'm getting closer to graduation, I feel so sad that I will not see your face in the stands like when I got my associate degree but I know that you will be there with me in spirit. Hermana Lucy, familia Renterìa: Dios sabe que de todo corazòn hubieramos querido estar con ustedes cuando nuestro hermano partiò...Pero Dios sabe tambièn que los tenemos presentes en nuestras oraciones y que estamos orgullosos de haber conocido a nuestro hermano Rodrigo y de tener el privilegio de aprender tanto de su servicio, fidelidad, amor y sencillez...Extrañaremos tanto al hermano porque  en nuestras visitas a Houston nos hizo sentir siempre como parte de su familia y era un placer sentarnos todos a escucharlo platicar...Espero hermanos que Dios les de pronto consuelo ...Les mando un abrazo con todo mi cariño.

It's been a month since Dad died,he was such a good father,husband and grandpa,my world stopped when dad died,I just didn't think I would laugh again or be happy but I know he fought the good fight and his reward is the crown in heaven,they say I joke like him and look like him it would be great honor to be compare to dad,Dad I love you and miss you so much but we have to live for mom,I will try to be like you so I can see you again in heaven,I know every morning you look down from heaven at us and wait for our turn to be with you.love you dad,you are the spirit that lives in my heart and will never depart.

My daddy will never be replaced. He was and will be unique. Few faithful Christian men like him that was not afraid of speaking the truth with Gods word, with daddy it was right or wrong no (maybe) just like our Almighty God. Time is a fickle thing. One day we have it the next it is gone from us entirely.  When time ceases for a person we love we grow sad but as Christians understand that it is an inevitable part of life. Our brother did not take his time for granted. He used it to praise the Lord and love his family. In the short time we had with him we grew to love him deeply. He was a father for those who no longer had one. He was a man that could bring a smile in the darkness. He is a man that we will all significantly miss. We have the greatest feeling that he is resting in paradise, a place that many long to reach but few do. It is place reserved for special people like him. Who deserve a splendid rest after all their hard work. As Christians we hope to see him there one day. In that place of peace where he will welcome us with a warm smile and a firm hug. A place where there is no time and we can call Rodrigo Renteria brother and friend once more, for eternity.

Hermano Renteria was a man of honor. He was a great example of what a family man is supposed to be about. Even though over the years I didn't spend a whole lot of time with him and his family, he always had that uniqueness in his character that was seen by his actions and not just his words. He was truly a man of God. I have the utmost respect for him and his family that I will always consider part of my family. Love you all!

Porque el Señor mismo con voz de mando con voz de arcangel y con trompeta de Dios, descenderá del cielo, y los muertos en Cristo resucitaran primero.
Luego nosotros los que vivimos, los que hayamos quedado, seremos arrebatados juntamente con ellos en las nubes para recibir al Señor en el aire, y asi estaremos para siempre con el Señor.

Si somos fieles, si seguimos su ejemplo como el el del Señor, vamos a verle una vez mas, con todo y esto aun asi lo vamos a extrañar, por su forma de ser, sus consejos, su ejemplo, sus historias que siempre enseñaban algo, su forma de expresar cariño. Que bendicion para quienes le conocimos y que lastima para los que solo vieron su rostro firme y no conocieron su alma tierna. No Le decimos adios sino hasta pronto.

Our dear brother in Christ will always remain with us. His shining example of how a faithful Christian should live through all adversity will always be remembered. We need to make him proud and look forward to the day when we get to see him and all those who have gone before.  We love you Hermano Rodrigo and we will never forget you because we have your wife & your children who are so much like you, to share every memory they have of you with all us who looked up to you. You are in God's Arms now, living all you preached about.  We'll see you soon!

Grandpa Renteria your words and love will stay with me for ever. I never knew a man so dedicated to his family and God like you. You stood by your word and stayed strong until the end. You have made me realize how beautiful life can be if you live the right way. I will never forget what I learned from you. I love you so much and will keep you in my heart for ever.

My father was an example to all of us and will continue to be. He taught me so many things but the most important thing he taught me was how to be a true Cristian. When he preached the word of God he was humble but at the same time with a lot of firmness. He never sugar cotted anything especially the word of God. My father was wise and I believe he was like that because he always put God first. I will miss voice calling me, his laughter, and most of all his wonderful advise. We did lose a great man but God willing one day we will all be together again. Thank you all for being with us and please continue to pray. May God bless all of you.

Gracias a Dios que nos presto a mi querido Tio por un buen rato. Ya se nos fue pero su memoria siempre estara con nosotros. Fue un gran hombre pero sobre todo un fiel Cristiano. Gracias Tio por el ejemplo que nos dejo del celo que debemos de tener hacia la palabra de Dios.

De alegría porque sabemos que nuestro trabajo en el Señor no es en vano (1 Corintios 15:58), y confiamos que el que comenzó en nosotros la buena obra, la perfeccionará hasta el día de Cristo (Apocalipsis 14:13). Estamos agradecidos con nuestro Dios por los años de servicio que nuestro hermano entregó en Su reino. Estamos más que seguros que le recordaremos como aquel hermano que incansablemente trabajó en la Iglesia del Señor. Les amamos en el amor del Señor. La familia Alvarenga les tiene en sus corazones y oraciones.

Doy gracias a Dios por la bendición de conocer a mi hermano y amigo Rodrigo Rentería desde 1976 cuando llegó a El Salvador. Comparto su dolor y al mismo tiempo su confianza que por la gracia de nuestro Dios nuestro amado hermano se encuentra ahora con Cristo Jesús.  Le pido a nuestro Padre que derrame Su gracia en cada uno de ustedes y que encuentren consuelo, paz y fuerzas en Sus brazos poderosos de amor. Que la misma fe que sostuvo al hermano Rodrigo también los sostenga a ustedes, no solamente en estos momentos de duelo sino en cada batalla espiritual que tienen por delante.  ¡Vive nuestro Salvador!  Por esto sabemos que ahora vive plenamente también - más que nunca Su hermano menor llamado Rodrigo.  Reciban un abrazo con amor fraternal de su hermano Larry.
