Roy B. ""Sonny"" or ""R.B Waldrop

Roy B. Waldrop (""Sonny"" or ""R.B""), 86, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Baytown. He was born October 29, 1929 in Greenwood, Mississippi to his late parents, Roy Waldrop and Estelle Mims Waldrop.

He was a longtime resident of Baytown and was a retired printer, having worked for the Baytown Sun, Fidelity Printing and Chas P. Young in Houston. Roy was also a former member of the Navy Reserves.

He was predeceased by his sister Erlene Mims Galey. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Waldrop; children, Sheryl Lemon, Darlene Mellor and Katie Cantrell and her husband Mark; step children, Darla Carlisle and Keith Carlisle; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Carmen Waldrop; special friend, Elvia Pequeno and many other family members.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the funeral home with Dr. E. Richard Steel officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shaun Lemon, Conner Carlisle, Keith Carlisle, Randall Logan, Don Hillier and Eddie Erickson.
