

Sallie Rae Spell Thompson, 59, passed from this life into her Lord and Savior's loving embrace on January 14, 2008, in Houston, TX. She was born from the union of James and Robbie Spell on December 12, 1948, in Baytown, TX. She was a devoted sister, mother, and grandmother who leaves behind many relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. She worked in such places as J.C. Penny's as ladies apparel manager, Texas Department of Corrections, and operated as manager a residential remodeling and cleaning company as of late.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Mabel Spell and Louis and Robbie Crenshaw. She is survived by her two sons, Charles H. Thompson III and wife Patty of Waxahachie, TX and James R. Thompson of Stafford, TX; granddaughter, Madison Faith Thompson of Waxahachie, TX; two sisters, Frances Smith of and husband Michael of Sugar Land, TX and Marie Coker of Baytown, TX: and one brother, Marshal Spell of Galveston, TX. There are also numerous other members of the family unmentioned.
Her life will be celebrated at Navarre Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Baytown, TX. The visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The service will be Friday, January 18, 2008 at 3:00 pm. The Rev. Darrin Trammell of Faith United Church, Hempstead, TX will be officiating. The service will not be followed by a graveside service as she will be cremated later and interred at the family cemetery in Dobbin, TX. Any donations in lieu of flowers will directed specifically to the charity revealed at the funeral service.
