Samuel Eugene Korocy passed away July 5th, 2013. He was a graduate of De Ridder High School in Louisiana. He married the love of his life, Julie A. Arnold on February 11, 1977, in Moss Hill, Texas. Samuel began his career in commercial fishing in 1975, working on aluminum boat, named “The Water Turkey,” with an outboard motor until he had the money to build his own shrimp boat, named “Julie Anne 1” and built his enterprise.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Julie A. Arnold; his sister, Pamela Korocy and his brother, Joseph Korocy.
He is survived by his children, Randy Arnold and wife Glynda, Patrisha (Trish) Korocy and husband David Coker, Lucy Korocy and husband Eduardo Castillo, Alexander Korocy, Haley Korocy and husband Juan Garcia; his grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan Arnold, Zachary Roberts, Heather, Holli and Shannon Coker, Isaac Muchkenfuss, Liliana and Eduardo Castillo.
