San Juana Cano, age 70, of Baytown, passed away peacefully at her home on December 10th surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 5, 1951 in San Angelo, Texas. San Juana was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ismael Cano, Sr., her six children- Veronica Ramirez (Ruben), Michael Cano (Sonia), Ismael Cano, Jr. (Marisela), Angela Westbay (Andy), Stephanie Juarez (Robert), Elizabeth Cano, and her eleven grandchildren- Lauren Ramirez, Joseph, Gavin & Haley Cano, Jacob, Emma & Mateo Cano, Sophie Westbay, Eliana and Gabriella Juarez, and Lucas Cano-Cisneros. She had twelve siblings, Carmen VanPelt, Feliz Puente, Marcelo Puente, Fernando Puente, Leticia Garza, Olivia Francis, Gracie Camacho, Marina Hernandez, Jackie Guerrero, Dagoberto Camacho, Coty Uriegas, and was preceded in death by her brother, Toby Camacho and her mother, Otila Martinez.
San Juana was a kind, loving person, providing many good memories, hosting, decorating, cooking for family get togethers, birthdays, and holidays (was especially fond of Christmas); she also enjoyed puzzles, sewing (from buttons to blankets), dancing, family gatherings and game nights. She was devoted to watching her grandchildren doing anything they loved, including dance recitals, dance competitions, singing, karate, football, soccer, baseball, basketball games, drawing, swimming, and gymnastics, to name a few. Even listening to the little one reciting ABCs and counting, brought her such joy. She will be dearly missed by all that loved and adored her.

A visitation for San Juana will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521. A rosary will occur Monday, December 20, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521. A committal service will occur Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 800 W. Baker Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
