Sherry Kay (Tatum) Wilkerson (1947-2025) passed away on January 1, 2025. Sherry dedicated the work of her life to feeding others, whether it was intellectually, through her three decades as a teacher, emotionally, through her work in fine art, or quite literally, through her passion for learning about, cooking, and sharing recipes from around the world. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Phillip, and is survived by her sister, Sheila, her husband of 58 years, Carl Wilkerson, her son Chandler, and her grandchildren, Lucas and Emiliana. In her example of feeding others, donations to the Houston Food Bank in her name are welcome. A memorial service will be held at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston on Saturday, January 25 at 11:00.
