

Mr. Green was born in Peoria, IL, to Everett and Myrtle Green. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and retired from Bayer in Baytown after 25 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra, daughter Cynthia, parents, as well as brother-in-laws Richard Lutz, Lawrence Lutz, and Reuben Belk.
One of his greatest points of pride was to be known as Papaw to his eight grandchildren, all of whom survive him: Jeremy Hensarling, Heather Curry, Hunter Curry, Bailey Ballard, Blake Hensarling, Landon Hensarling, Kyleigh Curry and Khloe Curry. Mr. Green is survived by his son Shelby Green, daughters Becky Chmielewski; Amy Hensarling and husband, Glen; and Cristy Ballard-Curry and husband, Shawn Curry.
Mr. Green was a long-time volunteer for the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, competitive barbeque cook-offs and spending time with his family and close friends.
The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015, at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas.
Pastor Jerry Hovater of The Little Country Church in Crosby, Texas, will lead the funeral at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at The Little Country Church, at 14035 FM 2100, Crosby, TX 77532. A committal service will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, TX.
Pallbearers are Jay Ainsworth, Mitch Lawhon, David Burch, Freddie Leggett, Michael Wilkerson and Robert Stow. Honorary pallbearers are Wiley Carter, Wyman Norton, Luis Garcia, Eddie Tucker and Dwight Cox.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Liberty County Metro Go Texan committee for the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo. The Cowboy Classic Golf Tournament will honor his memory.
