Steven K. Ackerman

Steven K. Ackerman, 56, of Baytown was born November 3, 1952 in Houston and passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in Mont Belvieu. He was a 1971 graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School and a graduate of The University of Houston. Steve was a research technician at ExxonMobil. He loved his horses, dogs and cats and was a walking sports information almanac.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Marcel and Bettye Ackerman and is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Teresa Ackerman of Mont Belvieu and Russell and Rebecca Ackerman of Katy; companion, Virginia Dickenson of Baytown; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Autumn and David Lewis, Jeremy Ackerman, and Paul and Sydni Ackerman, all of Mont Belvieu, Allison Ackerman of San Marcos, Christina Ackerman of Katy and Blaine Ackerman of Collage Station; and great nephews, Hunter Lewis, Dylan Lewis and Cole Ackerman.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Webb officiating. At his request, his body was cremated.
