Sybil Hester Barron

Funeral services for Sybil Hester Barron were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers in Pineville, Louisiana with the Pastor Huey Tarpley officiating. Burial was at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineville.

Hester Barron was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister in-law and friend to everyone. She always had a smile no matter how bad she felt. She never asked for anything or wanted anything special in return for kindness to others. She loved seeing her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren happy and healthy. Her favorite pastime was piecing quilts then giving them away. If she heard someone say they loved quilts, she would make them one. All done by her loving hands. She lived with pain all of her life but it never stopped her from doing her favorite past time, ""quilting.""

She was born March 5, 1921 in Deville, Louisiana and went to be with her Lord on November 16, 2008 in Baytown, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Monroe Barron and an infant son; her parents Earnest Bryan, Sinnie Bryan Franks, and Monroe Franks; her brothers and sister-in-laws, Elzie and Opal Bryan, J.D. and Irene Bryan, Lee Franks (Buck) and sisters and brother-in-law Clara and Frank Sasser and Lorena and (Ta) Kelsy Foster and a nephew Steve Foster.

She is survived by her children, sons and daughter in-laws, Ernest and Donna Barron of Huntsville, Texas, David and Linda Barron of Pasadena Texas, Kenneth and Diane Barron of Crosby, Texas and daughter and son-in-law Sharon and James Svrcek of Baytown, Texas; grandchildren Rebecca and her husband John Harvey, Heather Barron, Wendi and Bill Baack, Chad Barron, Seth Barron, Kyle and Jennifer Barron, Brandi and Keith Jordan, Keith Svrcek, Kevin Svrcek, Kristen Svrcek; great grandchildren, Alissa Schmadl Svrcek, Abigail and Jacob Baack, Davis and Derek Jordan; one sister-in-law Betty Franks and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were: Keith Svrcek, Kevin Svrcek, Chad Barron, Seth Barron, Kyle Barron and Ed Bryan.
