Tanya L. Henderson

Tanya L. Henderson, 47, of Crosby, was called home on September 11, 2010. She was born August 19, 1963, in New Gulf, Texas, to Carl and Shirley Chaffin. Tanya was known for her warm personality and her special God-given ability and joy in caring for others, especially the elderly and those with special needs. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown.

Tanya was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Jane McKnight and grandparents, H. G. and Nell Chaffin and Lloyd and Jane Mason. She is survived by her husband, Phillip L. Henderson of Crosby; daughter, Christina Gonzalez of Crosby; son, Ryan Gonzalez of Baytown; granddaughter, Alyssa Bonano of Crosby; parents, Carl and Sherrill Chaffin of Dayton and Kathleen Chaffin of Cove; brother, Carl Chaffin, Jr. of Crosby; sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela and Russell Reid of Dayton and Lisa and Mark Stubbs of Cove; and a host of nieces and nephews and other close family and friends who loved her.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Jake Porter officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Gonzalez, Robert Odom, Mark Stubbs, Russell Reid, Kelton Park, Tyler Stubbs, and Steve Evans.
