Thomas Mendoza Jr.

Thomas was a highly spirited person who was always willing and eager to help anyone he considered a friend in need. His heart had room for everyone. He appeared to be big and tough, but those who had the absolute pleasure of knowing him knew that he was a beautiful soul with a kind heart. To many he was an exemplary friend, to many he was family. He was very excited about recently starting a new job alongside his father, working to provide for his daughter and wife whom he adored, doing something he truly loved. Thomas was delighted with his life and the direction he was headed, and he made it known to the world how thankful he was with God for every single day the Lord woke him up. He was a wonderful father, a loving husband, a one-of-a-kind friend and a true example of a genuine being. He was proof that someone could turn their life around a complete 180 degrees and still win. Thursday morning he left home as always, eager to work, only he never made it back. The Lord called him to his eternal home. With him, Thomas took pieces of the hearts of family and friends who cherished him in life, and he will be missed dearly for ever.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Griselda Estrada; his daughter, Ailani Mendoza; his father, Tomas Mendoza Sr. and wife, Nora; mother, Elida Molina and husband, Alex; brothers, Alex and Isaac Molina; sister, Melissa Mendoza; half-brother, Armando Hermoso grandparents Andrea and Humberto Fuentes and Dionicio and Masedonia Mendoza as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00p.m. and Monday, October 10, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home 2444 Rollingbrook Dr. Baytown, Texas, 77521. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
