Tim Purtle

Tim Purtle, 42, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 in Baytown. He was born March 6, 1968 in Little Rock, Arkansas to his late parents, Grady H. Purtle and Peggy Sewell Purtle and had lived in Baytown for most of his life.

He attended Ross S. Sterling High and Kilgore School's, worked at Kroger and Food King and previously attended St. John's United Methodist Church, where he played music and served as an usher. For the last few years Tim attended First Baptist Church of Baytown and they embraced him with such love.

His family would like to thank the staff of St Giles Assisted living, as they looked after him for years and also want to thank the staff of San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. They did a wonderful job of taking care of him and special thanks to Dr. Khoshnevis.

Tim was a loving man who was passionate about children, especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed rodeos and talking to anyone he would meet and had a deep love for animals.

Survivors include his sister, Lori Lloyd and her husband David of Baytown; brother, J. D. Tinsley and his wife Fay of Crosby; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and Mickey Lloyd of Baytown, niece, Lauren Lloyd of England; nephew, Nick Lloyd of Baytown; great-niece, Alyssa Lloyd of Baytown and a host of loving family members.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Navarre Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Don Lewis officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Woodlawn Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels of El Dorado.
