Vadie Smith, age 94, of Austin, TX, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2021. She was born in West Point Mississippi on June 27, 1927 to Flora B. Perkins and Thomas Wilson Keller. She was married to Conner Smith for 60 years.
Vadie worked many jobs in her lifetime. She worked for Sears and Robuck in collections and catalog sales. She worked for Kay Jewelers, had an antique shop for a while with Mrs. Kennedy. She also groomed dogs, and made porcelain dolls with Mrs. Eckman.
She held Treasures of Church dear to her heart and attended for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Conner Smith and son Roger Smith.
She is survived by her son Conner Smith his wife Jody, and their children, Blake, and Jessica her; Teresa Boswell her daughter, and her children, Michael Boswell and his wife Diana, and Cody Boswell; great grand-children Michael Boswell, Jayden Boswell, Brooklyn Barrous and her husband, Josh Preston Boswell, her granddaughter Jennifer Smith and great granddaughter Patty Smith and Natalie Smith.
