Victor Barrientes, Sr.

Victor Barrientes, Sr., 73, of Baytown passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in a Houston hospital. Victor was born July 18, 1935 in Kenedy, TX to Juan and Dionicia Guevara Barrientes. He was a very loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked in many capacities during his lifetime. He was a Time Keeper for Brown & Root Corporation for 15 years and served on the Pharr, TX Police Department for 5 years and retired from the Security Department of Houston Community College. He was a member of the Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church of Baytown.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jesus, Jose Maria, Adan and Felix Barrientes; sisters, Gregoria Garza and Maria Diaz. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Consuelo of Baytown; sons and daughters in-laws, Javier and wife Mikki Barrientes of Webster, Victor Barrientes Jr. and wife Tania of Baytown; daughters and sons-in-laws, Leticia White and husband Tony, Maritza White and husband Gary all of Baytown; brother, Alfredo Barrientes of Baytown; sister, Eva Soto of Pharr, TX.; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jared Barrientes, Dori Lacamu, Jo Ann Kurtz, Melissa Bozant, Steven Barrientes White, Patrice Le, Taryn White, Jay, Brad, Harley, Seamus, and Katherine Barrientes and great grandchildren, Alexia Espinoza, Lauren Le, Brandon Le, and Hannah Barrientes.

Pallbearers will be Brad, Jay, and Victor Barrientes, Jr., Gary White, Bear Estrada, and Thanh Le.

Visitation will be Sunday October 12, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, October 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Neal officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
