

Victor Brown Cook, 83, of Baytown was born June 26, 1924 in Pelly and passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was a U. S. Navy WWII veteran. He retired from Exxon Research in 1983 with 44 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bunyon and Nora Cook; brother, John G. Cook; and sisters, Inez Moffitt and Stella Bell Pittman. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Avis Cook and daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Dan Pinson and Candice and Bill Shelton, all of Baytown; brother, D. O. “Bill” Cook of Caldwell; sister, Gertrude Spell of Old River; grandchildren; Amber and Vince Garnica of Baytown, Jordan and Andrew Temple of Katy, and Matthew Brown of West Point; and great grandson, Karson Williams of Baytown.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with his brother-in-law, Rev. J. E. Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
