

Victoria Acosta, 90, of Baytown, Texas went to be with the Lord and Thursday, May 31, 2012. She was born on October 28, 1921 in Texas to Bernarda and Marcos DeLeon. She was a life-long wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She enjoyed her family, friends, sewing, crocheting, quilting, cooking and doing whatever she could to help others. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, a member of the Guadalupana Altar Society, and a member of the Women’s VFW Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alejandro and son, Lee; brothers, Reymundo, Marcos, Evaristo, Richard DeLeon and sister Dora DeLeon. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dennis Araujo, son, Sammy Acosta, daughter-in-law, Alice Acosta; grandchildren, Stephanie Griffin and husband Mike, Cathy Zawadzki and husband Jim, Victoria Lee Acosta, Joseph Lee Acosta, Jenny Lenoir, Ricky Lenoir, Elisa Magill and Leslie Tijerina, and; great grand children Josh Acosta, Joe Jr. Acosta, David Giles, Owen Griffin, Sophia Griffin, Cameron Zawadzki, Jared Zawadzki, Julianna Zawadzki, Victoria Lenoir, and Dylan Magill. Also, sister Virginia Dominguez and brother, Eluterio DeLeon.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Earthman Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Baytown, TX. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Cemetery in Houston, TX.
Pallbearers will be Joe Lee Acosta, Ricky Lenoir, Jim Zawadzki, David Giles, Joe Jr. Acosta and Cameron Zawadzki.
