Virginia Lee Barnes, 88, passed away peacefully August 7, 2019, lovingly surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Farmersville, Texas on September 22, 1930. Virginia was most favorably known as “MA” and “Aunt Gina”.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred & Bertha Beene, two brothers, Robert & Leamon Beene, sisters Dorothy Harrison and Norma Gideon and sons Chester “Lonnie” Parker” and David Keith Parker.
Virginia is survived by son Gary Parker (Kathy), daughter Kellie McDaniel (Gary), grandson Lonnie Parker (Angie), granddaughter Charlie Gardner (Dalton) and two great grandchildren Madeline Steffy and Preston Parker along with many beloved nieces and nephews whom she adored. She also leaves behind her true love, Clay West, whom she cherished. He could bring a smile to her face that could brighten up any room.
Ma deeply loved her family and enjoyed every minute she could spend with them. She loved to travel and was truly blessed to experience living in Singapore and traveling around the world many times. She loved spending time with friends playing card games, dominos and the not so friendly slot machines. Ma just loved life and she was a shining example of God’s love.
Services for Virginia will be Saturday, August 10, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m with the Service at 11:00. Interment to follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
