She was born September 14, 1909 in Voth, Texas to Jose Francisco Zamora and Elizabeth Alaman Zamora. She married Jose Ravel Moreno and moved to Baytown in July of 1926. Together they opened Baytown's first Mexican food restaurant, Cuauhtémoc Restaurant, which later became Moreno's Finest Mexican Food. After retiring from the restaurant business, Virginia enrolled in Lee College at the tender age of 68 and took upholstery, horticulture, and sewing classes, becoming a Certified Seamstress. She loved spending time with her family and telling stories about her life. She was a member of Social Order of the Beauceant Assembly Number 153 and also The Order of Eastern Star Chapter Number 798.

She is survived by sister-in-laws Wanda Zamora of Pearland, and Lucy Zamora of Lake Jackson, Florida, her devoted daughter-in-law, Martha Medellin Moreno of Baytown. Virginia will be remembered for her love of family. She was proud of them and liked to brag that all six of her brothers served their country: Ernest, Archie, George, Charles, and Tito served in WWII, and Henry used his skills as a horologist to help the war effort. She answered to Mom, Grandmo, Grammy, and Virchincha. We will miss her sense of humor and dry wit.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home on Monday, April 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, at Navarre Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
