Vivian Moore

Vivian Moore, 88, of Baytown was born January 29, 1926, in Sinton, TX and passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015, in Baytown. She married Elmer Moore, Jr. in 1943, and they remained together for 65 years until his passing in 2008. She was a member of the Pruitt and Lobit Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Moore; parents, Ellie and Harold Aiken, Sr.; sisters, Nelva Peyton, Maxine Wagner, Christine Crawford, and Tommie Jean Whitehead; and brother, Harold Aiken, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Tiner and husband Ronald and La Merle Burgess and husband David, all of Baytown; grandchildren, Melissa Targac and husband David and Chris Tiner and wife Melissa, all of Baytown, Elizabeth Eakin of Kerrville, and Sarah Leal and husband Brian of Orange Grove; great grandchildren, Noah and Riley Targac of Baytown, Kaden and Briar Leal of Orange Grove, and Hannah Cooling of Kerrville; siblings, Bobby Aiken, Sr. and wife Jean of Baytown, Patsy Jones and husband Jerry of Cedar Park, and Polly Aiken and Reba Parker, both of Highlands; and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Jesse Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a special thanks the staff at St. James House and A-Med Community Hospice for the love and care that was given, during the time of her stay.
