Wanda Faye (Trahan) Patton, 71, of Baytown, left for Heaven at sunrise on Saturday, August 27, 2022, surrounded by her family after a battle with dementia. She was born in Baytown, Texas, on June 13, 1951, to Verda Mae (Kaderli) and Chester Darby Trahan.
Wanda was a loving mother, second mom to many, mother-in-law, Nanny to any child that came around, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was the life of the party. She never missed an opportunity to have a good time. She loved life, loved to dance, and loved to sing. She had a passion for people and never met a stranger. She understood that love meant treating people with kindness. Her endless and selfless love impacted countless people and she often went without to provide a better life for others. She sacrificed as only a mother or grandmother can.
Her greatest achievement was strongly living out her faith and passing her beliefs to her children. Her faith was deeply rooted in the love she had for God. She was humble, loving and persistent. She spent her life seeking and placing her faith in God because she understood that God promises to reward those who seek Him. Eternity was her destination, and she was rewarded after reaching her lifelong goal of striving to spend eternity with Jesus.
She is survived by her daughters, Velvet Koenig and husband, Danny; Suzonne Harrison and husband, Kent; and Lisha Guilliams. Son, Coby Patton and partner Michelle Gamino; Stepson, Daryl Patton. Grandchildren – Kade Koenig, Tanner Spencer and husband, Alex; and Shane Koenig; Brandon Harrison and wife, Norma; Brittany Harrison; and Taylor Taylor and husband, Colton; Skyler Rhoden; Paige Saunders; and Lance Guilliams; Jayden Patton; Maritza Patton; Camden Patton; Emma Patton; Nikki Stuckman; Terrynn Carter; and Jade Carter; David Cobb, Jr; and Britney Gilmore; Derrick Patton; Ashley Patton; and Hunter Patton. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Darlene Higginbotham.
A special thanks to her longtime partner, Joseph Gossom, Sr. that loved and cared for her.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; late husband, Carl Patton II and stepdaughter, Stacy Cobb Jones both of Highlands, TX. Two sisters, Joyce Thomas of Arkansas; and Barbara Daniell of Chandler, TX.
