

Wesley Jay, 56, of Cove, TX was born November 23, 1953 in Henderson and passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 in a Baytown hospital. He was a member of Old River Baptist Church and was a welder. He enjoyed life and was an avid hunter and Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a great husband and loving father who was passionate about his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jay and is survived by his wife of 32 wonderful years, Luanne Jay of Cove; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Wesley and Maria Jay of Germantown, MD; mother, Ruth Jay of Jacksonville; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas ""Sonny"" and Deborah Jay of New Summerfield; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Luke and Jaurie Orrell of Fort Worth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and Rick Whatley of Dayton; nieces and nephews, and his two dogs, Heidi and Gretchen.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Good Springs Duncan Cemetery near Henderson in Rusk County at 3:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Whatley, Steve White, Ryan Whatley, Chris Dumont, Mike Stephens, and Charlie Stephens. Thomas ""Sonny"" Jay will be an honorary pallbearer.
