

William Lloyd McVay, 86, of Baytown, Texas, passed away January 27th, 2022. He was born in Ora, Texas on August 9th, 1935 to William E. and Lillie McVay. He was married to Nelda Chapman for 49 years. Lloyd worked as a machinist and was an Army Veteran, having served in the 101st Military Command as a Gunner, and retired from Ohmstede.
He was a member of Garth Road Church of Christ and, as a Deacon for the church, had a passion for serving the Lord. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda McVay; son, Kenneth McVay; sisters: Mozelle Cox, Laverne "Oddis" Scott, and Lois Allen; brother, Aubrey McVay; and his parents, William E. and Lillie McVay. He is survived by his son, Randy McVay and wife, Juanita; daughter-in-law, Robin Creed McVay; grandson, Philip Blue and wife, Kate; three great-grandchildren: Harper, Beckham, and Blakely Blue; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.
A visitation for William will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Garth Road Baptist Church, 8622 Garth Rd., Baytown, Texas 77521. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Holly Grove Cemetery, 494 County Line Road S., Livingston, Texas 77351.
