

William C. Thompson, 66, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at his home. He was born February 2, 1944 in Baytown to his late parents, William B. Thompson and Lillie Marek Thompson and was a life-long resident of Baytown.
William has been the owner-operator of Thompson's Fish Camp since his mothers passing in 1978, a U.S. Navy veteran and an accomplished wood craftsman. His enjoyments included being with his grandchildren, painting, hunting, fishing and playing Santa Clause for his family. He was an excellent cook and had even built his own smoke house for the sausage he made.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Thompson of Baytown; son, Dustin Wayne Thompson and his wife Dawn of Baytown; step-children, Melissa Whitney and her husband Danny York of Baytown, Angela Whitten and her husband Chad of Mont Belvieu and Louis Linkinhoker and his wife Lena of Dayton; sister, Betty Stringer of Baytown; grandchildren, Vanessa, Jeremy, Joshua, Brandon, Katie, Dalton, Kloe and Miranda and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2010 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the funeral home with Brother Kenneth Plunk officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Howell, Butch Hardison, Buddy Dittman, Tim Young, Terry Robertson and Bobby Stanley.
