Zachary Whitaker

Zachary Whitaker, 8, of Baytown was born November 27, 2002 in Houston and passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was due to start the third grade at Crockett Elementary School and was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing and especially winning at baseball, putt putt golf, and other games. He was a big fan of WWE professional wrestling and enjoyed family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Hazel Rowland. He is survived by his parents, Chris and Lisa Whitaker and brother, Drew Whitaker, all of Baytown; grandparents, Richard and Wanda Whitaker of Baytown, Wayne and Cheryl Morrison of Schulenburg, and Mary Teresa Morrison Clement of Galveston; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday, August 1, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Bayou Baptist Church, 3116 N. Alexander Dr., Baytown, TX 77520 with Dr. Mark Broussard officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Whitaker, Jr., Ryan Jordan, Drew Whitaker, Keagan Kogut, Hunter Rickard, and Blake Odom.
