It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Angel Luis Padron on February 7, 2026, at the age of 76. Angel was born on January 7, 1950, in Cuba, where he spent his childhood and early years. He immigrated to the United States in 1968. He lived in New York where he met and married his bride, Lesbia Padron in 1987. He raised Lesbia’s son, Henry Calero, as his own and in 1988 they welcomed their son, Luis Padron. The family moved to southeast Texas in the early 1990s where they have now been long-time residents.
Angel was a faithful member of his church for more than 20 years, La Iglesia Apostolica in Beaumont, TX. Pastor Tim McGraw and his church family cared for Angel and were always available to pray and assist him. They picked him up for church, cooked for him, and even helped him to some of his doctor’s appointments. They were truly the hands and feet of Christ, and the family would like to express sincerest gratitude for their kindness.
In accordance with his wishes, Angel will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at La Iglesia Apostolica, located at 777 N 4th St, Beaumont, TX 77701, on Thursday, February 12, 2026. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to La Iglesia Apostolica in Angel’s memory.

The Hope of the Resurrection
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, NLT
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.
15 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died.
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves.
17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
18 So encourage each other with these words.
