On the morning of February 8, 2020, Arthur Thomas Pugh, of Humble, Texas went to be with The Lord after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He died at the age of 77 in Baytown, Texas. 'Tommy' was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Thomas Pugh & Lora Pugh; sisters Shirley Pugh & Mary Weaver; brother Julian Pugh.
He is survived by his wife, Callie Pugh; son Greg Pugh of Houston, Texas; daughter Shannon Drinnon and husband Garnie of Goldsboro, MD.; step-daughter & faithful caregiver Judy Fraize; step-sons Harold Rankin & Nick Rankin; grandchildren Alex Davis, Sarah Michelle Critchfield, Hunter Pugh, Josh and wife Candice Whiting, Tiffany & her husband Kyle Haggerty, Jonathan Horn, Jake Rankin, and Justin Rankin; sister-in-law Sharon Pugh and brother-in-law Herman Weaver. Tommy also leaves behind 6 great- grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Tommy was preceded in death by; father Jack Thomas Pugh and mother Lora Pugh; sister Shirley Pugh; sister Mary Weaver and brother Julian Pugh.
Arthur (Tommy) Pugh is an Army Veteran awarded with a Medal of Valor for Heroism in the Republic of Vietnam on the day of February 25, 1968. After his Honorable Discharge in 1972, Tommy worked as a talented auto mechanic & then as an auto mechanic instructor at UTI until retirement in 2005 bringing his love of cars & Mack trucks home with him to his own garage on many occasions. He enjoyed the car races and restoring classic cars. He was known for his good sense of humor. He loved to make others laugh and feel happy.
His funeral will be held on Friday, February 14th, 2020 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at 4955 Pine Street Beaumont, TX 77703. Viewing and Visitation will begin in the Chapel at 11:00 am.
