Barbara Jean Peterson Hansen, 84, passed away April 1 while visiting family in Alpine, TX. Born in Seattle, WA January 20, 1929 to Bessie and Ben Peterson, she grew up on a 40 acre apple orchard with her brothers Danny, Tommy, Johnny and sister Mary Ann. After graduating from Kirkland High and a brief banking career, she married Harry J. Hansen and recently celebrated their 64th anniversary. She was a resident of Beaumont and member of Sabine Tabernacle.
Barbara is survived by her children, daughter Terri Webster and husband Danny; Henry F. Hansen and wife, JoAnn; daughter Cheryl Gordon; son Michael Hansen and wife, Carol and son Ben Hansen. Her grandchildren; Christopher Woodward and wife, Jessica; Eric Webster, Christine Hansen, Wes Hansen and wife, Lesley, Travis and wife, Cynthia, Amanda Hansen, Callie Gordon and Drew Gordon. Her great grandchildren; Shelby, Christian and Luke Woodward, Bailey Hansen and Hallie Browning.
Visitation will be at Sabine Tabernacle 1:00 PM Friday, April 5 with services at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn.
