Betty Darlene Neely

Funeral services for Betty Darlene Neely will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00a.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Batson with Pastor Carlton Bailey officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service, beginning at 9:00am and lasting until the service time of 11:00a.m. at the church. Betty will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas. Betty Darlene Neely was born August 6, 1931 in Wary, Colorado to Carl V. Craven and Wanda J. Henry-Craven and passed away November 14, 2016 in Liberty, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but Betty will be remembered most for being an enthusiastic fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys; always watching and rooting for her two favorite teams. Betty has left to treasure her memory, her children; Donald Dwayne Smart and wife Darlene and James Michael “Mike” Smart and wife Mary; grandchildren, Heather Smart, Amanda Smart Fregia and husband Kirk, Jennifer Hardy and husband Richard, Terry Smart, Stephen Smart and wife Marissa, Tausha Smart and husband Billy Rhodes and Kirby Vanderslice and husband Mark; great grandchildren, Bryanna and Trystan Hardy, Alex, Rebecca, Nathan, Mason, Lily and Camron Smart, Miah, Emma Autum, Skylar, Levi and Greyson Smart, Alexis, Domenik and Zoie Smart and Kinsly Vanderslice; brother, Ronald Craven and wife Sharon; nieces, Jeri Lusk and husband Tim and Jill Medford and husband Kelly and great-niece Kasi Medford. Numerous other relatives and a host of friends also survive.
