Carl Loper, 93, of Lumberton, died Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Many, LA., he was a longtime resident of Beaumont, before he moved to Lumberton 15 years ago. Carl was a retired truck driver with Chevron, enjoyed penny slots, working around his home, and watching old westerns.
A Celebration of Carl's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara Loper, sons Gary Knight and David Knight, daughter Debbie King.
Carl is survived by his grandchildren Dustin Knight, Shannon Knight, Megan Knight Deloney, and Jason Knight, and his aunt Betty Phillips Haynes of Beaumont.
Carl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
