Catherine Desmarais Kunz

Catherine Desmarais Kunz, 60, of LaBelle, passed away on Thursday December 17, 2015 at her residence. Catherine was a resident of the Beaumont area for thirty-four years coming from Alabama. She was born on November 30, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama to her parents, The Reverend Camille and Marjorie Desmarais who preceded her in death. Catherine attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Beaumont. Catherine was a homemaker that loved gardening, traveling, raising chickens, dogs, cats, was crazy about her four grandkids and friends, attending chili cook-offs , and going to estate sales.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband: Wallace Fred Kunz of LaBelle, daughters; Amy and Rodney Revia of Lumberton, Michelle and Pat Karsten of Galveston, Christie and Bobby Linscott of San Antonio, brother; David Desmarais of Bristol, Connecticut, sisters; The Reverend Marianne and Peter Stuart of Lincoln, Alabama, Darrell and David Willis of Tyler, and four grandchildren; Travis Ryan, Dalton Revia, Katie Karsten, and Zachary Karsten.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday December 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with a reception to follow.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or your charity of choice in honor of Mrs. Kunz.
