Charles Ronald Green

Charles Ronald Green, age 79, died on May 12, 2016. Ronny was born on January 2, 1937, in Abilene, Texas and raised in Water Valley, Texas, to Harold & Hazel Green, who preceded him in death, as did his brother, Kenneth Green, who passed away last November.

He attended Texas A & M University, as well as Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. After college, Ronny joined the Army, serving active duty until 1965. Following the Army, Ron became involved in the music industry and often enjoyed the company of such greats as Willie Nelson, Paul English and Glenn Campbell. He worked for several years for Brown & Root. Ron later moved to Las Vegas, becoming a Corporate Engineering Buyer for Station Casinos, Inc.

Ron loved golf, camping, boating and enjoyed time with family and friends; he later supported animal shelter organizations.

For 32 years, he was the beloved husband of Gina N. Sprinkle Green. Surviving Ronny are his wife, Gina, of Mobile, Alabama; son, Charles Kevin Green, and wife, Rikki, of California and grandchildren Bryce and Brook.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Water Valley Pioneer Cemetery in Water Valley, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial charitable contributions be made to your local Humane Society.
