Wyatt was born in Beaumont, TX on August 27, 1965 to Luellen and Bob Newton. The newspaper headline on that day read, “Astronauts Rocked out to Music as they Float in Space,” which is so fitting since Wyatt could tell you the band of any rock song imaginable. He knew them all.
While attending BCP High School, he met his best friend and the love of his life, Brenda Lowry. They were married 25 years and had three children. As a young teen to the present, he worked at the family hardware store and once a month he enjoyed working at Larry’s Trade Days cooking kettle corn. He enjoyed hanging out in his shop with friends, going to his deer lease and hunting.
Wyatt is survived by his father Bob Newton; his wife, Brenda Newton; daughter Amanda Retherford and son in law, Jace Retherford; daughter Shelley Newton and son in law, Keith Peschel; son Neale Newton; sister Bonnie Self and her husband Joe; brother Rob Newton and his wife Farah Newton; brother Tabb Johnson and his wife Lisa Johnson and many cousins.
He was a devoted husband and loving father. He will be profoundly missed by all.
Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
