Donald Wayne Ferguson, 82, of Beaumont, Texas passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. Don was born on August 01, 1929, in Palestine, Texas to Harold and Maudie Ferguson. He was a graduate of Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Texas, attended Lamar Tech where he earned his associate degree and retired from Exxon Company USA after 39 years of service. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge # 1165.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Fay Moffitt and husband Sammy of Beaumont, Deborah Kay Ferguson of Beaumont and Denise Darlene Barefield and husband Ben of Sour Lake, Texas; son, Don (Mike) Ferguson and wife Judy of Beaumont; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara Fay (Honeycutt) Ferguson and brother, Harold Arthur Ferguson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
