Donald Granville Hale, 92, of Hamshire, died Thursday, February 27, 2025 at his residence. A native of Greenville, TX., he was a retired boilermaker after many faithful years with Bethlehem Steel. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army, in his spare time he enjoyed fresh water fishing, woodworking and making things for his family and friends, and cheering on The Houston Astros.
A Celebration of Donald's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial and military honors to be held afterwards at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the funeral home.
Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruby Jewell Hale, his parents John and Ina Hale.
Donald is survived by his sons Mike Hale and his wife Dianne of Hemphill, and Scott Hale and his wife Kim of Hamshire, brother Steve Hale and his wife Jackie of Dallas, sisters Helen Spurlock, and Darlene Lyle both of Beaumont, and his grandchildren Mandi Wenner and her husband Jared, Douglas Hale and his wife Tabetha, Aaron Hale, and Sarah Hale, and his four great granddaughters Emma Wenner, Ava Wenner, Haley Hale and Olivia Hale.
Donald will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
