Donnie was an amazingly supportive step-dad! I will always appreciate the care and consideration he showed my mom, sister, and I. He loved to feed the squirrels and birds that were at my mom's house. He was a great cook and made a delicious potato salad. Being an Aggie, I would occasionally tease him about sawing off his beloved UT's horns. He loved UT. He will be deeply missed!

Thank you for everything, Donnie. Love Always, Christina

My neighbor Nanny’s son. Yes a very good man that was very out going and that never met a stranger. Donnie was kind and caring. When I look back at how he treated other people and how he cared for Nelda and her family, I couldn’t help but see a caring man. I was glad they found each other. As any other good caring man, I say RIP Donnie. 🙏🏻

What a wonderful man Donnie was. Never met a stranger. He was so loved by everyone. Especially his fiancé Nelda. They were perfect together. Anyone could look at Donnie and could see on his face he was with the love of his life. You could not find a better man. Those who did not have the privilege of meeting him missed knowing a great man. God Bless you Donnie and rest in peace.

We met Donnie when he was working at Kroger's. We felt like we had known him forever. He was one of the most wonderful person we have ever known. So helpful for whatever you needed. He always greeted you with a big beautiful smile. He became one of our special friends. He and I always talked about going to the casino. One of his and his fiancé Nelda's favorite things to do. When he would talk about Nelda he had a smile from ear to ear. They were so happy with each other. He will be so missed by so many, and was so loved by all who knew him. May you rest in peace Donnie. You will be missed by so many who loved you.

Donnie was the most amazing Dad or one might say Step-Dad. But to me and my sister he was more then just a step-dad he was a Dad.
Yes Donnie and my mom were not married but they were together for over 7 years as a couple. But my memories of him where the time we spent outside. We would collaborate on how to feed the birds and the squirrels, and most recent in the past few months Hummingbirds. Donnie would help me garden planting tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, cantaloupes etc... There was plans to build new raised beds for next year. Donnie would help tie up tomatoes so they wouldn't fall, he would water them the moment he got to the house. He was my gardening partner, and i am Devastated he is gone. So you see he was more then a step-dad he was a Dad to me.

I met Donnie back in college. He was one of the most amazing young men I have ever met. He was known for doing the right thing. You could rely on him. He was honest and honorable. I once broke down with three flat tires. He was the only person I could think of that I knew that would help me. I was right...he stopped what he was doing and drove an hour out of town to come to my rescue. What a loving person who I will always be grateful for knowing! God bless you, Donnie, I have never forgotten your goodness! I am a better person for knowing you. 💝
