Gladys was, above all else, an excellent mother. She loved her children immensely and spent her time caring for them. She was a homemaker, and she kept her home in immaculate condition, while also keeping a strict schedule of living.
Gladys didn't have many hobbies, but she loved to play bingo! When she was younger, she liked to go dancing and enjoyed the occasional game of bowling.
Gladys is survived by her sons Wayne Kern and his wife Brenda, and Richard Kern and his wife Sherry; her brother Vernon LeBlue and her sister Grace Burrell and her grandchildren Christopher Kern, Rebecca Kern, Bryan Kern, Trena Lankford, Michael Kern, Lisa Barnes, Kimberly Kern, and Tristan Lynn Lopez as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Rose; her husband Calvin Taylor; her son Earl Kern; her sister Dorothy Mouton; her brothers Frank and James LeBlue; her granddaughters Tonya Schwabel and Tammy Lynn.
