She graduated from French High School in Beaumont TX. Judy married the love of her life, Benjamin Murillo, in 1970. She and her two sons, Wendell and Carlton, joined families with Ben and his two children Victoria and Benjamin Jesse Murillo. Judy later went to work as an insurance agent for Members Insurance in Port Neches, Texas for many years until her retirement. She and Ben loved to travel and ski. They took their family on many cultural adventures. Family was of the utmost importance to Judy. She was a breast cancer survivor and active member of her breast cancer support and breast cancer survivors groups. She volunteered her time at the United Board of Missions in Port Arthur, Texas for many years. She enjoyed cleaning up and sorting all of the toys. She sewed blankets for all of the dolls that would be handed out to children. Judy never had a cross word for anyone. She loved everyone. Judy loved nature, especially birds and flowers. Most of all, she adored her family. Her favorite role was that of a wife, mother and MawMaw. Judy always put everyone’s needs above her own, truly a selfless person.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and adoring husband Benjamin Murillo. She is survived by her sons, Wendell Murillo, Carlton Murillo and spouse Regina and daughter Victoria Rangel as well as 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several cousins and extended family.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on January 6, 2021 at 12 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Judy's Life will be on January 6, 2021 at 2 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with her burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Seasons.
