Kathryn was a teacher and taught 2nd grade for 24 years in Louisiana and Texas, retiring from Pineforest Elementary. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Texas State Teachers association. She was a great teacher and was selected as the Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America 1974. Kathryn was a woman of faith and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Vidor.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her father, Arthur J. Theriot; her mother, Wilfred Yarborough Theriot; and her husband, Mitchell S. "Mickie" Bridges.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Michelle B. Champagne (Chris); grandchildren, Beau Champagne (Katie), and Ashton Champagne (Carson Burrell); and great grandchildren Abigail, Madison, Troy, and Charlotte.
A Funeral Mass for Kathryn will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1600 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662. Following the funeral mass will be a committal service at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2725 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662.
