She was born to parents Johnny and Leyde Davis on October 23, 1949 in Beaumont, TX.
Kathryn was married to her loving husband Earl Lyle Stark, for forty-three years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family; she was always there to help those who needed it. She was a proud native Texan and was a Houston Astros fan.
Kathryn and Earl owned several businesses including the Stark's Silver Dollar, Studebakers Casino and Field of Dreams. She loved interacting with customers and cared deeply about her employees.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Leyde; and her sister, Carol Simer.
Surviving Kathryn are her husband, Earl Stark; her sons, Erik Stark of Baton Rouge, LA, Dustin Stark and his wife Michele of Kingwood, TX, Tod Stark of Bridge City, TX, and Craig Stark of Los Angeles, CA; her brothers, Jimmy McCaleb of Vidor, TX and Freddy Masters of Vidor, TX; her grandchildren, Olivia Stark of Kingwood, TX, Parker Stark of Kingwood, TX, Brittany Stark of DeQuincy, LA, Dakota Thibodeaux of Orange, TX, and Bailey Thibodeaux of Orange, TX, great granddaughter Madison Adams of DeQuincy, LA; her niece, Kimme Potter of Orange, TX; and her nephews Scott Alexander of Orange, TX and Rob Alexander of Houston, TX.
The family has entrusted Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Gathering of Family and Friends is scheduled for Monday January 23, 2023 from 11:00am – 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Kathryn's Life to follow immediately after in the chapel located at 4955 Pine St., Beaumont, TX 77703. Kathryn will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park following the services. Pastor Jeremiah Shields will officiate the ceremony.
