

Margaret Mary Ann Trahan LeBlanc was born on October 2, 1935 in Elton Louisiana and at age 80 passed away on June 4, 2016. She was a graduate of the Louisiana School for the Deaf in 1956 where she was a competitive swimmer. She was a longtime resident of Southeast Texas since 1961. She was employed as a kitchen assistant at Lamar University and a custodian at BISD and Sunoil Co. for many years. The things she loved the most was God, her family, going to church, the color pink, writing letters and Cajun food.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ovey Sr & Elzina “Blanche”Trahan, 2 brothers Ovey Jr. & Lester “Coon” Trahan and one sister Lena Mae Sonnier. She is survived by 3 children, her son Sal LeBlanc and wife Susan of Mt. Vernon Texas, daughter Jenny Moore and husband Chris Sr. of Bridge City, Texas, daughter Kim Hunt and husband Peter of Beaumont Texas.
She was Grandma to 7 grand children, Jacob, Matthew, Jeremy, Bryan and wife Katie, Christopher Jr. and wife Katelyn, Shaun, Chelsea, Justin & Sydney and numerous nieces and nephews who loved their “ Taunte”.
Special thanks to all the members of Calvary Temple in Lumberton Texas for always being there to support and pray with our mother.

Visitation will be at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Wednesday June 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 9, 2016 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with graveside and burial services at the Graceland Orange Grove Cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana at 2:30 p.m. following the services. ASL Interpreter will be provided for all services.
