Melba was born October 29, 1942, in Glenmora, La. to Earl Edward Gill and Mary Louise Johnson Gill. She lived in Beaumont most of her life and went to South Park High School. Melba met the love of her life, Donald Bradford, at a young age of 12. They married 57 years ago and traveled the country while he served in the military before settling in Beaumont. Melba enjoyed making quilts and blankets, and also attending Praise Church.
She leaves behind husband Donald R. Bradford, daughter Donna Mahan and her husband Terry, son David Bradford and his wife Peggy. Sisters, Billie Simmons, Lynda Zuckero and her husband Mike , four grandsons David Bradford, Jr., Phillip Mahan, Jake Bradford, and Thomas Mahan. The great grandchildren brought a sparkle to Melba's eyes and she was blessed with Emery and Memphis Bradford, Atlas Mahan, and soon to arrive Laney Bradford, and lots of nieces and nephews.
Family will celebrate her life daily in the memories we cherish.
