Pauline R. “Polly” Reid, age 84 passed away on June 7, 2015 in Beaumont, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Polly was born in West Monroe, LA to the late William Lee Ragland and Ivy Mae Downs Ragland on March 10, 1931. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and was a member of the All State choir on 1947. She attended North East Louisiana College (ULM). Polly worked in customer service with Louisiana Power and Lights and later with Gulf States.
Polly is survived by her two sons, Joe Reid of Bedford, TX and Jason Reid of Kingwood, TX. One sister, Annette Berry and her husband Robert O. of West Monroe, LA. Two grandchildren, Fara Kristine Reid of Euless, TX and Jackson Robert Reid of Kingwood, TX.
