Mrs. Thelma Estelle Owen

Thelma Owen, 103, of Beaumont, passed away on Tuesday April 22, 2014 at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beaumont. A native of Perry County, Mississippi, she was born on December 22, 1910 to her parents Connie and Catherine Clifton who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her husband Milton Owen, son Buell Reese Owen, three brothers, Lewis, Lonnie and Ben, two sisters Rose and Loie.

Survivors include one daughter, Shelby Hartwick and her husband Donald. Three sisters; Annett Mills, Aileen McAdams and Eula McKnight. Three grandsons; Carl Owen & Martha, Neil Owen, Kyle Hartwick and his wife Penny. Two granddaughters; Kelly Riggs and her husband Robert and Somer Adams. Eight great grandsons; Patrick Owen and his wife Kinslie, Clayton Owen and his wife Alex, Robert Riggs Jr.,Don Riggs and his wife Rachel,

Keeton Allen, Kade Allen, Kolton Harris & Kash Ford, one great granddaughter Hannah Hartwick, Two great great granddaughters; Avery Owen and Jolene Riggs one great great grandson Don Ross Riggs Jr. and great great grandchild, Baby Owen on the way. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews that called her Aunt Thel.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday April 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
