Theresa LaJean Ozio

Theresa LaJean Ozio of Beaumont, TX passed away Thursday April 2, 2026 in the comfort of her home after succumbing to battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Mark Ozio, son Ryan Ozio and his wife Brooke Ozio, mother Bonnie Ohnheiser, brother Stephen Ohnheiser, sister Deborah Ohnheiser Vayon and her husband Johnny Vayon, and niece Tanna Vayon. She was preceded in death by her father Melvin Ohnheiser.

Theresa was born in Galveston, TX on April 10, 1963 to Melvin and Bonnie Ohnheiser. After moving many times due to her father’s military service, the family settled in Bridge City, TX. After graduating from Bridge City High School, she went on to attend Lamar University where she received her Associate in Business degree. Post graduation, her career path led her to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where she spent 35 years of dedicated service in the Coding and Medical Records division. Theresa was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother as well as a tremendously hard worker. Her family takes comfort knowing that she is now at peace.

Services will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Saturday April 4, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM with a rosary led by Theresa's family starting at 1:30PM. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 2PM with Pastor Jeff Bell officiating, and her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and/or Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
