.Vennie Mae Arrant Jones, age 78 of Beaumont, Texas, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday 25, 2015.
Vennie was born in Houston, Texas on September 3, 1936 to the late Henry Arrant and Virginia Morrell Arrant. She worked for many years for Webergs as an officer manager. Vennie loved reading and enjoyed doing jig saw puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years Cecil Jones, Sr., daughter Cheryl Whitaker, brother Darl Arrant and two sisters Bessie McNeely and Mary McElroy.
Survivors include her children; Cecil Jones, Jr. and his wife Linda of Pearland, Texas, Debra Alterman of Beaumont, Texas and Terry Jones and his wife Brenda of Vidor, Texas. As wel as ten grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.
