William Gary Choate, 60, a lifelong resident of Beaumont passed away on Saturday February 18, 2017 in Beaumont. He was born on February 22, 1956 in Beaumont to his parents Godfrey O. Choate and LaRue Fischer Choate who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was one brother Bobby Choate, and one sister; Darla Al-Jureidini.
He loved helping people, riding his bicycle, watching wrestling live or on TV, listening to country music, drinking Dr. Peppers, and participating in all sports.
He was a Baptist by faith and attended Tyrrell Park Baptist Church and Cheek Baptist. He worked lawn maintenance for the Spindletop Workshop.
Gary is survived by two brothers; Tom Choate and his wife Christene of Lafayette, La., Randy Choate of Beaumont, two sisters; Charlene Choate Muckridge of Houston, Andrea Descant and husband Frank of New Orleans, La., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday February 24, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
