Willie is survived by her husband, Dale G. Smith of Vidor; son Dale G. Smith Jr of Vidor.; son James Smith and wife Barbara of Vidor; daughter Glenda Turner and husband Bob of Vidor; brothers William and Dwight Glover of Vidor, brother-in-law Tilman Smith of Mauriceville, sisters-in-law Flo Wilson of Beaumont and Peggy Cantrell of San Antonio; grandchildren Lisa Bondurant, Brad Smith, Brent Smith, Rob Turner, Joshua Turner, Dustin Turner, and Mandi Koons, as well as 14 great grandchildren.
Willie was preceded in death by her parents William Glover and Viola Ezell, sister Marie Bailey, and grandson Tyler Winfree.
Willie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to sewing and crafts, from creating dolls to paintings; she always had a talent as an artist. She loved to camp and took any chance she could to spend time outdoors. She was also a fabulous cook, and everyone would enjoy her delicious meals. And you couldn't get her away from a good puzzle or a game of chicken scratch. Everyone knew you could always come to her when you needed advice (even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear), and she was always there to comfort you when you needed it.
She was blessed with 73 years of marriage with her husband Dale. They met at the Woolworth's Five and Dime Store. They were wed on Dale's birthday (her idea) so he would never forget their anniversary. You could always find them supporting each other and working together, no matter the project. Willie was a member of the Dowlen Road Church of Christ. She was a very faithful woman and would always say "If you can't change it, turn it over to the Good Lord and he will take care of it." She loved to listen to the acapella singing of the congregation.
