Woodrow "Pancho" Joseph Guidry Sr., 72, a longtime resident of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on August 28, 1953, to the late James Guidry and Yvonne (Himel) Guidry.
Woodrow was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor for many years. On June 16, 1979, he married the love of his life, Louise Gonzales. Together, they shared 46 beautiful years of marriage, raising four children, welcoming grandchildren, and building a life rich with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Woodrow enjoyed traveling, hunting, playing computer games, and taking trips to the casino to try his luck. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a loyal brother, and a dear friend to many. His presence brought comfort, his humor brought joy, and his absence will leave a deep and lasting void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will live on forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Yvonne Guidry, and his son-in-law, Bryan Moss.
Woodrow is survived by his beloved wife, Louise Gonzales Guidry; his children, Blanca Hale and husband Chris, Toni Moss, Woodrow Joseph Guidry Jr. and wife Lanisa, and Ginny Price; and his grandchildren, Alex Hale, Lauren Hale, Sydney Hale, Sophia Patterson and husband Jake, Jacob Moss, Nicholas Moss, Noah Moss, Caleb Guidry, and Brayden Price. He also leaves behind one great-grandson, Liam Patterson.
He is also survived by his siblings: Barbara Blanchette and husband Fred, Michael Guidry and wife Rosemary, Cynthia McKee and husband Mike Sr., Deborah Dinet and husband Todd, Theresa Rhodes and husband Tim, Mary Dinet and husband Randy, and Patricia Daleo and husband Paul; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
Serving as pallbearers and escorting their beloved grandpa to his final resting place will be his grandsons: Alex Hale, Jacob Moss, Nicholas Moss, Noah Moss, Caleb Guidry, and Brayden Price.
