Carlos "Charlie" Paras was born on January 10, 1944 in the small town of Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines. From a young age, those closest to him would agree that he demonstrated many characteristics that stayed with him throughout his lifetime - his strong willed personality, daring nature, charm, love for gallivanting, generosity with money, and never-ending readiness for a good debate. Wherever he went he made many friends, and many of those friends considered him a best friend. He always made sure those around him were taken care of and wanted everyone to have a good time. He spent much of his stronger days frequently visiting The Gorge and Cascade Locks - he had a love for beautiful scenery and enjoyed eating fresh seafood. In his passing we are grateful to those who have shared their wonderful memories of Charlie. They are a testament to the carefree life he lived and joyful spirit he brought everywhere he went. He will never be forgotten and we find comfort in knowing the Lord has freed him from pain and welcomed him to his final resting place.
